Day Six (6): More crewel stitches
Three more stitches learned -- laid filling with french knots (in the heart), detatched buttonhole stitch (around edges of carnation) and spider stitch (filling the calyx).

Crewel work has always seemed to connect me directly with the ladies of the 17th century, one of my favourite time periods. A pleasure from start to finish :) Very tactile in the linen fabric and wools.
